A Living Estate

WELCOME TO KILLRUDDERY

Located only 30 minutes from Dublin, our Irish historic country estate has been evolved by one family over 400 years.

The biodiverse landscape includes painterly 17th-century Gardens, flowering woodland, a working farm and heritage settings for immersive experiences, family activities, farm-to-table dining, and slow shopping.

  • Killruddery Yard

Killruddery Yard is our central gathering space where community, nature and food come together.

We sell produce we rear, grow and make in our Farm Shop & Cafe, open daily. Our shop is full of plants, pots, feel-good books and curated home & garden wares of Ireland’s most exciting craftspeople and artists.

For a celebration of seasonality, come for lunch at our award-winning Grain Store restaurant. Our Pizza Shed serves sourdough wood-fired pizza with Killruddery-grown toppings.

A Family Welcome

Our family has lived at Killruddery since 1618, with three generations here today. Living heritage on Dublin's doorstep!

Killruddery is a  true celebration of the great outdoors and honest, direct soil-to-plate gardening. Killruddery Yard has grown from our collective desire to connect with the earth and cultivate community. It represents not just a beautiful centuries-old garden, but all of the hands that tended to it.

We’re passionate about conserving this estate and continuing a tradition of horticultural innovation which prioritises sustainability and environmental responsibility. At the heart of everything we do, we wish to protect Killruddery's soul and unique character as our special family home.

You are most welcome. We hope you will enjoy your visit and return again and again.

— Earl and Countess of Meath, Lord and Lady Ardee and the Brabazon family.
