A SHARED LOVE OF THE OUTDOORS
Killruddery offers a diverse range of experiences for all ages—from treetop adventures with Squirrel’s Scramble, outdoor pursuits with Alive Outside to process-led family art workshops with Me And The Moon. Across the estate, activities include workshops, camps, birthday parties and special events.
Nature Kindergarten, an outdoor pre-school at Killruddery, has become a special learning environment where children can immerse themselves in nature and learn through it.

Me & The Moon
CRAFT WORKSHOPS
Visit WebsiteMe and The Moon facilitate weekly workshops, birthday parties, camps and events. All Process Art workshops are designed to stimulate children’s curiosity, creativity and confidence.
Me and The Moon has two studio locations at Killruddery; The Stable Studio (beside the Grain Store) and The Fruit Room Studio (within the Gardens). With options for toddlers to teens, check out Me and The Moon’s full schedule online.

Squirrel's Scramble
TREE ADVENTURE PARK
Visit WebsiteThrill-seek through the trees with the team at Squirrel’s Scramble. On offer: treetop adventure day trips, school trips, corporate events and birthday parties + ProActive Kids summer camps: open March to November (weekends, bank holidays and all school holidays 10am – 6pm).
For ages of 5 years and up – all in natural forest with more than 50 different challenges on 5 different levels (1.5m to 8m).

Nature Kindergarten
PRE-SCHOOL WITHOUT WALLS
Visit WebsiteThe Park Academy’s Nature Kindergarten is nestled in a hidden 5-acre plot on the estate - "with tall trees and natural woodland, with birds singing in the trees, bugs hiding under logs, and the smell of eucalyptus and pine burning brightly on an open fire."
Modelled on forest school principles, the curriculum is founded on exploration and discovery, for children to strengthen their connection with the natural world and learn to embrace and care for it.

Nordic Walking
ACROSS THE ESTATE
Group classes take place in Killruddery’s fields and woods. Open parkland is the ideal surface for learning the technique. Dairine is a qualified Nordic Walking Instructor (International Nordic Walking Association) and a keen hill walker.
Classes are held at the weekends and during the week by arrangement. Please contact Dairine at 086 1936861 or dairinesarah@gmail.com.
