Our year-round rotating exhibitions invite visitors to engage with artistic impressions of the natural world. Paintings, prints and photography are presented across the heritage walls of Killruddery Yard by a selection of national and international artists - offering a visual layer to our soil-to-table ethos and commitment to sustainable farming, gardening, cooking and floristry. Accompanied by studio conversations and craft workshops, Killruddery Arts celebrates biodiversity across the wild and cultivated landscapes of our working farm, flowering woodlands, shrublands, and 17th-century gardens.

PAST SHOWS

We have been delighted to feature the beautiful depictions of nature in our past exhibitions at Killruddery, which have sought to illuminate both the subtle and extraordinary aspects of the natural world.

Shifting Brilliancies, a title inspired by a Seamus Heaney poem, brought together painters and printmakers exploring the shifting moods of landscapes, flora, and wildlife across changing light and seasons. Curated by Niamh Mac Gowan, the exhibition invited visitors to engage with the Estate through alternative perspectives.

Participating Artists: Yoko Akino | Jean Bardon | Leah Beggs | Carmel Benson | Lynda Bremner | Róisín Coyle | Gráinne Cuffe | Cliona Doyle | Niamh Flanagan | Clare Henderson | Louise Leonard | Niamh Mac Gowan | Niall Naessens | Caroline Patten | Robert Russell | Brien Vahey

Vincent Sheridan presented Murmurations at Killruddery, a striking series of prints exploring the intricate social behaviours and mesmerizing flight patterns of birds. The exhibition was inaugurated by broadcaster and journalist Ella McSweeney.

This exhibition featured a curated selection of John Jobson’s paintings, exploring the interplay of light, form and texture across landscapes, captured both en plein air and in his studio.

South Korean artist Yeoung A Yeo’s exhibition drew inspiration from Ireland’s shifting light and striking contrasts. Her paintings explored the subtle interplay of light and shadow, to capture beauty in unexpected places.
