OPENED BY LADY FIONNUALA ARDEE, KILLRUDDERY’S TEA ROOM PROVIDES SEASONAL SUSTENANCE FOR OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS. NESTLED AGAINST THE SOUTH FACING WALL AND IN OUR VICTORIAN ORNAMENTAL DAIRY, OFFERING RESTFUL VIEWS ACROSS THE FORMAL GARDENS, WITH WICKLOW’S STRIKING LITTLE SUGAR LOAF MOUNTAIN IN THE DISTANCE.
The Tea Room is located in the old Ornamental Octagonal Dairy, built during the 19th century and a functioning dairy supplying Killruddery House until the 1950s. This quirky outbuilding, boasting stained glass windows and natural stone floors, provides the perfect space for a small kitchen and counter service.
The Tea Room offers outdoor seating, both covered and on the edge of the parterre – with a small wooden home-built area for children to play.
