EVENT DESCRIPTION

Lord and Lady Ardee invite you to join esteemed harpist Fiona Gryson (www.fionagryson.ie) and clarinettist Berginald Rash (www.berginaldrash.com), Dathanna on Friday, 26th July in the Orangery.

This is a special evening concert in the heritage Gardens of Killruddery House. Dathanna, named for the Irish word for ‘colour,’ centres timbral hues and shades, colours of sound, phrasing, texture and virtuosity through musical expression.  Expect a programme of intimate chamber works that celebrate and revel in beauty, timbre and the sublime fusion of two distinct tonal textures - that of clarinet and harp, weaving their way through the beautiful interiors of our marble statue gallery, the Orangery.

Attendees are invited to make an evening of it with a special pre-concert dinner in The Grain Store, featuring a seasonal menu of fare grown and reared at Killruddery, just a few metres away from your concert venue.

The pre-concert Supper will begin at 18.30, with the concert beginning at 21.00 for a duration of one hour, for guests not booking in for the Supper, the Garden will be open from 20.00 with drinks & snacks available at the beautiful Tea Rooms.
