EVENT DESCRIPTION:

To celebrate and be present among spring’s abundance, we invite you to join us and weave a beautiful, Easter wreath of spring greenery, bulbs and moss.

Join our Founder Fionnuala Brabazon & our Florist Hanka Miziova in our Killruddery Cut Flowers Workshop, Killruddery Yard, Sunday the 6th of April. We will begin the day with hot drinks and a homebake, and after some introduction and demonstration, you will weave your natural style wreath, with plenty of guidance, to decorate your door or as a centre piece on your table.

All materials for this workshop will be supplied, with foliage from the Cut Flower border of our Victorian Walled Garden, along with the woodlands and hedgerows of Killruddery to best represent this time of year and seasonality.

This workshop is suitable for anyone who wishes to take a slow + relaxing morning while creating their very own Easter wreath using beautiful, seasonal material, going home with your creation to welcome the Easter Season.

ABOUT HANKA:

Hanka Miziova, our Florist at Killruddery, originally trained as a landscape architect.

Passionate about all things floral, right after completing her master's degree in landscape design and urbanism, Hanka went on to train in floristry and opened her own floral business. After four years she decided to pursue a career in high-end event floristry and get more in touch with the harvesting process in Vienna.

Consequently, she went on to work in various locations all around Italy where she could experience the fast-paced nature of creating floral designs for large-scale events as well as get to see the use of native florals in their natural conditions.

With eight years of experience in floristry and limitless curiosity about seasonal floral possibilities, Hanka places importance on strengthening the connection that people have with flowers and perceives flowers to be a delicate means to bring people closer to nature in a creative and meaningful way.
