EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Join us for one of Killruddery’s most loved seasonal traditions — our Christmas Wreath Making Workshop, led by Killruddery Cut Flowers founder Fionnuala Brabazon and florist Hanka Miziova.

Working with freshly gathered greenery and natural materials from our gardens + woodland, you’ll create your own beautiful festive wreath to take home — a piece that celebrates the textures, colours, and scents of a Killruddery Christmas. Weather permitting, we will enjoy a walk in the otherwise closed for season Winter gardens as part of the workshop.

The atmosphere is relaxed and joyful, with tea, coffee, mince pies, and mulled wine flowing throughout the session and there is the added opportunity for you to make a day of it by booking lunch in The Grain Store, where our seasonal menus celebrate produce from the estate.

Whether you come alone or with friends, it’s a wonderful way to begin the Christmas season in good company and creative spirit.

About Hanka Miziova

Originally from Slovakia, Hanka brings a quiet artistry and deep reverence for the natural world to her floristry. She works closely with Killruddery's seasonal bounty, favouring foraged textures, seed heads, and unusual stems to create arrangements that reflect the wild beauty of the estate. Her style is generous, soulful, and instinctive - always guided by the materials at hand.

Hanka is Killruddery Cut Flowers' lead florist, collaborating across workshops, weddings and special events.

About Fionnuala Brabazon

Fionnuala is one of the creative forces behind Killruddery's renaissance - a passionate grower, host and curator of all things seasonal. She co-founded Killruddery Cut Flowers to grow earth-friendly blooms in harmony with the land and its cycles. Her approach blends heritage, sustainability and the simple joy of sharing whats in season.

Working alongside the cut flowers team, Fionnuala loves to welcome guests into the beauty and rhythm of life at Killruddery through hands-on, slow and joy-filled workshops.
