WELCOME TO KILLRUDDERY
WE ARE DELIGHTED TO HOST BEAUTIFUL WEDDING CELEBRATIONS AND BRING TO LIFE YOUR SHARED DREAMS.
We pride ourselves on offering unique access to an exceptional heritage house and world-renowned gardens – with intimate, surprising venues around the estate for an unforgettable party. We recognise the enduring strength of teamwork at Killruddery. Our Wedding Team will work closely with you to guide your planning and ensure that this journey is as enjoyable as the day itself.
THE WEDDING CEREMONY
‘VOTA VITA MEA’ – ‘MY LIFE IS DEVOTED’
Killruddery House is a magnificent Tudor Revival mansion with an original 17th century foundation.
The Orangery, The Dining Room, The Library and our renovated Grain Store all provide unforgettable settings for a wondrous wedding reception or marriage ceremony. We are HSE registered to hold civil ceremonies as well as Solemniser and Humanist ceremonies or partnership blessings.
As The Orangery is not a heated space it is best to plan for wedding ceremonies between April & October.

the grain store
176 GUESTS
The Grain Store is Killruddery’s charming 19th century barn conversion in our Horse Yard, the ultimate rustic-chic venue for dinner and dancing. After your marriage ceremony, a pathway leads your guests through our formal gardens to a charming courtyard strung with lights. Through double-height barn doors, surprise your close friends and family with the Grain Store’s characterful open-plan interior.
Killruddery’s long feasting tables offer a simple, bohemian style.

The Orangery
176 GUESTS
The Orangery, a Victorian conservatory of flaunting beauty, offers magical solemnity for a ceremony or an extraordinary space for a celebration drinks and canapes. Inspired by the Renaissance gardens of Italy, our marble statuary lends a classical, romantic style.
-
The Drawing Room
70 GUESTS
Our beautiful, bright Drawing Room is a hidden treasure at Killruddery. The lavish neoclassical interior boasts magnificent scagliola pillars, ceiling stucco plasterwork and walls lined with gold brocade silk panels.
-
THE LIBRARY
30 GUESTS
In the heart of the house, The Library is opulently decorated in the Carolean style with an old Hollywood touch. The rich, teal-green walls complement the lustrous dark wood chimney-piece and overmantel. Host a beautiful drinks reception with views across the Long Ponds.
-
The Dining Room
18 GUESTS
Connected to The Orangery, our formal Dining Room is ideal for small-party celebration drinks for up to eighteen guests. The room boasts a stunning stucco ceiling and tall windows that look out to a meditative vista across our Long Ponds to an ornate, sparkling fountain.
THE WEDDING PARTY
Once the ceremony and drinks reception have finished, we can get the dining and party started! The Grain Store can be arranged to offer a one-of-a-kind dancing space, revealed after the final course. Open the doors and allow the party to spill into the open-air, where wood firepits burn bright and dancing continues under the stars.
Our Kitchen
We have created exquisite wedding menu options with Killruddery’s own fine ingredients for you to choose from - a true celebration of the bounty of the county of Wicklow.
ICONIC 17TH CENTURY GARDENS IN THE GRAND SIÈCLE TRADITION
Our craft gardeners and grounds staff are dedicated to conserving these 800 acres of biodiversity as a retreat for generations to come. A Killruddery wedding has a decadent rural backdrop, with landscaped views of lawns, groves, flowering woods, a Walled Garden and a maze.
Our enchanting main parterre has beautiful statues and water features including our twin ponds, known as miroirs d’eaux.
Testimonials
Myself and Sam wanted to say a huge thank you to you for all your
hard work running up to and on Saturday. Everything worked out
amazingly well! A number of guests mentioned how well you managed everything in particular and myself and Sam noticed how much effort you put into ensuring things were running smoothly – thank you!
We cannot thank all the staff at Killruddery enough. We had the greatest time at our wedding party and so did all our guests. Your passion to ensure we had everything to our liking, and the seamless way you ran the whole event was amazing, we are so grateful.
We honestly cannot thank you enough for everything you did! We had the best day ever. Everything was absolutely perfect. We are so appreciative of all the hard work that went into organising the wedding! The food was absolutely brilliant and everyone was raving about it, so please thank the chef for the wonderful meal. The bar staff were all so welcoming and friendly which made everyone feel so relaxed. I really can’t express how much we enjoyed it all. Our
guests had an absolute blast! Thank you from the bottom of our
hearts, it will be a day we will never forget.
We hosted a wonderful pre-wedding event at Killruddery this past summer. We were travelling from the US and were hosting an Indian-cultural wedding event (all of which made us nervous since we were trying to plan this event abroad) but working with the Killruddery event team was such a great experience and we ended up having one of my most favourite nights at The Grain Store. The team went above and beyond to accommodate an usual event with an unusual set up - they worked with me on everything from the food, decor, layout of the room, music etc. Our guests were not only blown away by the beautiful Orangery and The Grain Store but also the staff and bartenders, who were each so friendly and even got into the event themselves! I cannot recommend this place enough for an event (or even just a visit!) I hope to be able to go back someday.
