Weekly on a Thursday & Friday
Killruddery hosts a weekly series of ‘homegrown’ dining experiences. Head Chef Rafal Lorys prepares a decadent 3-course menu, showcasing Killruddery’s own seasonal, sun-kissed ingredients from our Walled Garden & Farm. With occasional pop-up guest chefs!

On the 24th of September we welcome Rootsdinners
Roots is a roaming food project established by partners Keith Coleman and Aisling Mc Hugh. After hosting a series of dinners in Fia, a café they co-managed at the time, the seed of what would eventually become Roots had been sown. Inspired by the wealth of produce this island has to offer, and the simple act of gathering people around the table to share a meal, Roots has grown into a unique dining experience. To date, the duo have hosted dinners in an array of interesting space; from The Fumbally Stables, to Hang Tough Gallery, and even in a Lawn Bowls Club. Roots has now found a home in Rossnaree House, in the heart of the Boyne Valley. The couple’s dream is to one day operate a small guesthouse with adjoining dining room and space to grow the food they serve.
Roots doesn’t start with a menu.
It starts with exploration. Seasonal insight. Foraging. Sometimes a dinner idea emerges from a conversation with friends. Sometimes with a local producer or a passionate chef. From this, we uncover stories that we develop into pop-up dinners. For us, Roots is as much about our journey as it is about the dinners we create. It’s a celebration of culture, heritage and native produce. It culminates into an experience that fulfils our everlasting curiosity to understand food, and what it means to share it in beautiful places with wonderful people.
