EVENT DESCRIPTION

Lord & Lady Ardee are delighted to invite you to an outdoor performance of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ performed by Dublin’s Balally Players Theatre Company in the enchanting surroundings of Killruddery’s Sylvan Theatre, under the direction of Gerard Bourke.

Pack your picnic, throw down your blankets, and go back in time to follow along the tale of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ - the preposterous play where “the course of true love never did run smooth”!  On a night filled with Midsummer madness, bewildered aristocratic lovers find themselves lost in a dreamscape woodland filled with supernatural beings, comic actors rehearsing, and mischievous elves spreading enchantment, confusion, and yearnings for true love.

Hosted by Lord & Lady Ardee, with drinks available to purchase from Killruddery’s Tea Room on arrival, attendees are asked to dress for the weather and prepare for a wonderful evening of theatre in a magical setting
