Nature kindergarten

Pre-school without walls

The Park Academy’s Nature Kindergarten is nestled in a small forest on the estate and provides a “unique classroom where the walls change colour every day and the ceiling is a kaleidoscope of hues of blues, whites and greys.” Modelled on forest school principles, “children explore their environment as well as their own capabilities”.

“Being able to “risk-assess” is another vital skill which…will help children not just to be ‘school-ready but life-ready’. Our children develop skills such as confidence, self-esteem, a love of learning and a ‘can do’ approach to life.” – Sarah Quinn, Education Coordinator, Park Academy Childcare.
