Our Food Story:
Killruddery is a bio-diverse working farm. We raise beef, lamb and pork here on the estate. Fruit and vegetables are grown in our Walled Garden. We keep hens for eggs and bees for honey. If we cannot provide all of what we need, we seek the very best ingredients from local producers – many of whom we stock in our Farm Shop. Over the past decade, we have been working to build a business that is grown from our soil and contributes to the wellbeing of our community; our culinary garden and on-site kitchen continue to evolve together, side by side.

We are looking for talented and passionate people at all culinary skill levels to join our kitchen team and be part of Killruddery’s food revolution. We aim to empower individuals, build community, and transform food systems to support healthy people and a healthy planet.

We have the following positions available:

Junior Chefs: Are you on the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great chef? If you are still undertaking or have recently completed your qualification and are willing to learn and grow we would love to have you come on board

Chef De Partie: Have you a natural flare for producing outstanding food at a 5* standard? Are you an excellent communicator able to ensure all staff within your team are briefed, supervised and motivated. Have you experience of working across multiple sections within the kitchen

Kitchen Steward: The backbone of any great kitchen! Our Kitchen Stewards create and maintain a cleaning schedule for the main kitchen. If you have an interest in the food industry it is an advantage as there will be lots of learning on the job.

Artisan Baker:Are you an Artisan Baker, dedicated to the actual craft of baking and understand all aspects of the process enabling a wide variety of beautiful sour-dough + traditional breads and croissant to be made from scratch for all our outlets. This is a new role and there is scope for you to make it your own

Pastry & Dessert Chef: Killruddery and Cake; the dream team. We are growing this area and need a self-starter with vast knowledge and experience in the production of desserts & doughs including botanical decoration techniques. Good calculation skills for scaling and converting recipes. Our baking are simple yet exquisite and we encourage creativity and innovative ideas.
