Job Description:Accounts Administrator

Responsible to: Accounts Manager

Role Overview:

(This is a new role – initially 3 days per week fixed term contract with a view to moving to full-time permanent)

To deal with day to day accounts processes, procedures and associated reporting of the finance function. Shared responsibility for debtors, creditors and reconciliations, ensuring that the Killruddery brand is maintained and all standards and procedures are followed as per departmental standards.

Principle duties:

  • To process and reconcile purchase invoices.
  • To process and reconcile online sales for events and memberships.
  • To prepare cash lodgements ready for deposit in line with company standards.
  • To reconcile company bank accounts and debit cards

Administration Duties:

  • Carrying out administration duties for the Accounts Manager.
  • To assist with adhoc projects related to Accounts when needed.

Other responsibilities

In conjunction with the Accounts Manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of the company.

To participate in regular work reviews and annual appraisal, and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.

To ensure that all Killruddery policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Health and Safety, Human Resources & Operations.

To at all times undertake your role in a professional manner maintaining a high-quality standard of work, and to always work in accordance with the vision and ethos of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Essential

Desirable

Working as part of a team, taking direction from the Accounts Manager

Third level qualification in accountancy or working towards same.

Excellent numeracy, oral and written English

Experienced in the use of Accounting Packages

1 year in a similar role
